Extreme Kindness

It’s Cool to be Kind

It’s Been A Long Time Baby!

Oh, how I’ve missed you!
I have so much to share…. But this is just a start. More to come.

Found this in a book by Shel Silverstein called “Where the Sidewalk Ends”
Thought you might appreciate it. It made me remember how great it feels to be a kid. Carefree and stoked!

Hug O War

I will not play at tug o war,
I’d rather play at hug o war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.

Hug o War

I am loving this kindness!

If you get the chance check out some of the radical videos on youtube. Type “Free Hugs” or “Kindness” and prepare to connect with the fact that the world really does have a lot of potential. People are good.

Have a great day.

    Erik, (Storyteller Extraordinaire!)

A warm, heart-felt hug really goes a long way. Carl’s lucky to have you two for older brothers. We will definitely take care of him while you’re on the Island. I’m sure our paths will cross soon. Wish you well on your travels! Keep spreading goodness, knowledge and laughter along the way.

(Like to think I’ve been doing a little “crusading” myself since I was a wee one.)

Hey you guys!! first of all what you are all doing is amazing!! well coincidentally i saw the “Free Hugs” video a few months ago. and as it is I run a “Youth Combating Intolerence” program at my highschool. Besides trying to provide anti racism/discrimination/homophobia etc. throughout our school, we are now beginning to provide a “Random Acts of Kindness” network. From the “Free Hugs” video, we were so touched that now we do free hugs before school once a month as well as handing out free hot chocolate and cookies (kind of a random act of kindness thing). I know there was one person who was reflecting back on it and shared that at the time she was debating weither to come teach that day for various reasons, and the showed up but embrassed with all of these hugs and so forth..and it made her day. I though I’d just share that with you. As well we’ve decided to take our program out into the city, and in a few days we are planning a “Free Hugs/Random Acts of Kindness/Pay it Forward” four or so hour event downtown the [30] of us, will be spreading the love, to the people of our city, the homeless, the elderly and everyone who deserves some kindness. By the way this program is run by the students grade 9 through 12. Have a great day, and keep spreading the love!! =D

This is the greatest website I’ve stumbled upon in a long while- positive, positive energy in everyone’s postings, it’s such a beautiful thing!

What you guys are doing here sounds awesome; keep spreadin the good word n vibes! I read the reference to the “ripple effect”, and you all are so right on with that. Truly, if we all just lived our lives in a more peaceful, kind, harmonious manner…well…just think how great that would be!

(Erik, props on choice of “hug-o-war”…as a kid I chose to perform that one at a theatre camp I attended one summer…random, but thought you should know you reached someone with that one~)

Just wanted to say you all are doing are darn dandy good job there!;) I’ve been thinking about doing something like this in the current city I live in called Saginaw, MI for quite a few months now. I honestly didn’t personally know of anyone else doing something like this and now that I do, it gives me more motivation and inspiration to create it! Thanks for choosing and following your purpose(s) on this planet.

    Dear Eric,
When your Dad and I spent 3 months in a Beetle in Europe together, his 3 sons and my 3 sons were not even fully developed gleams in our eyes. I am so grateful that this site allows me to get a glimps of one of his great triumphs. The strength & direction you give to compassion and kindness is inspiring, even to this old poet. Surely yours is the path to be taken. Keep up the fine mission. You are surely blessed to know such fulfillment. Merry Christmas.
Hugs to you Maggie and Wayne and the Bros. Peter
PS: When I got home from Europe in 64, my first love a Margaret too. However, mine was replaced.
